POAC First Fridays
Venue: Little Carnegie Hall, 110 Main St.; Columbia Bank Plaza, Third and Oak; and Pend d’Oreille Winery, 301 Cedar St.
Time: 5-7 p.m.
“Anything Goes — Best of the Best” photography show at the POAC Gallery, 110 Main. The local photographers of POAC’s artist group have chosen three of their favorite pieces that best demonstrate technical skill and artistry.Over at the Pend d’Oreille Winery, 301 Cedar, Darren Purdy is continuing a family tradition of creating rustic mirrors and tables, repairing furniture, and color-matching finishes.

Artworks Reception
Venue: Artworks Gallery, 214 N. First Ave.

The gallery is pleased to welcome two new artists: Diane Kinney, who turns recycled glass candle holders into beautiful works of art, and inspirational photo-artist, Collene Auble.

Devon Wade is back at the Beer Hall for the First Friday of January! Devon is an independent artist out of Sandpoint with a strong love for what country music has always been, songs about real life.

Friends of the Library Used Book Sale

Brrrr. The holidays are over. The snow is finally here with more to come. With it and winter’s short days and gray skies, cabin fever is soon to follow. It’s time to settle in before a cozy fire and there is nothing better to settle in with than a book or two to chase the winter blues away.

Free Ski Day
Venue: Indian Creek Unit of the Priest Lake State Park, Coolin
Time: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The Priest Lake Nordic Club is a co-sponsor of the Idaho Parks and Recreation annual “Free ski day” at the Indian Creek Unit of the Priest Lake State Park. Skis, boots, poles are provided so participants can explore the sport of cross country or nordic skiing.

Fat Bike Demo
Venue: Indian Creek Unit of the Priest Lake State Park, Coolin
Time: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Come try out fat bikes on a marked loop that will take 15-20 minutes to ride. First come, first served.

Brad Judy Book Signing

Local Idaho author, Brad Judy will be sharing some of his experiences, and talk about his book “Deception”.

Monarch Mountain Band

A local bluegrass, newgrass, folk-rock trio, Monarch Mountain Band has been performing locally and regionally for close to 25 years. Their high-stepping, toe-tapping progressive approach is great entertainment for the whole family.

POAC presents Northern Stars Rising audition reservations
POAC wants you to be a Northern Star Rising! Audition for a chance to perform for the community and local booking agents for a performance on March 29. Guest judges at the event will award prizes and one act will be honored as POAC’s Performer of the Year, with further opportunities to perform.
