Concerts will still be held every Tuesday evening in July

COLDWATER, MI - (WTVB) - Coldwater's Entertainment Under The Stars concert series will be changing locations this year.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says the summer concerts will be moved to Heritage Park after they were held in recent years at the downtown Four Corners Park.
Baker says the decision was made after they got feedback about the noise from nearby traffic on U.S. 12 and Marshall and the amount of area to put on the concerts.
The concerts in Heritage Park will still be held on Tuesday nights in July. This will be the second summer the city will be hosting the concert series after the concerts were previously put on by the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce.
Baker says to offset the downtown's loss of Entertainment Under The Stars, there are plans underway for Thursday night events involving downtown bars and restaurants on South Monroe Street. More details on that promotion will be released at a later time.

Jim Measel is a Detroit native and a proud 1975 Redford Thurston High School graduate. He first came to WTVB in 1991 and has nearly 40 years of broadcasting experience in news and sports. Besides covering local high school sports, Jim has also covered Western Michigan University basketball and hockey as well as Hillsdale College football games. Some professional stops include working at radio stations in Indiana, Charlotte and Lansing as well as the Michigan Radio Network. He has also earned Associated Press awards for news coverage and sports play-by-play. Jim's favorite career highlights include interviewing such figures as Gordie Howe, Sparky Anderson, Tom Izzo, Bo Schembechler, Isiah Thomas, Vice-President Mike Pence, Lee Greenwood and Regis Philbin. When he is not working, Jim enjoys watching the Chicago Cubs and can rest in peace as they won the World Series. He also hopes the Lions will be able to get a chance to win a superbowl.
